About me:
My name is Juan Moreno. I am from Jalisco, Mexico. In 2008, I graduated as a Veterinary doctor. Afterwards, I completed coursework in Education, which allowed me to develop in the field of teaching.
I worked at a high school at the University of Guadalajara as a Biology and Chemistry Teacher. I was also responsible for the science laboratory. At the same time, I taught at a Public Middle school where I also taught Biology and Chemistry for seven years. In 2015, I moved a Sacramento CA. with my wife. We currently have two children, Sofía and Samuel.
I was a Highlands student for about a year in which I studied English and had guidance that helped me pass the HiSET exams. In 2016, I joined this great Highlands family as a Para educator. I have helped support different classes and teachers in teaching English as a second language. I currently work at the Maple school and help in the St. Rose by enrolling and giving guidance to new students who want to excel and learn a second language. It is very rewarding to help people in my community and see how they can fulfill their dreams and exceed their goals. I am convinced that an educated community is a healthy, productive, and a prosperous community.
