About Me
Hello!
I’m Mavzuna and I was born and raised up in Khujand - the northern part of Tajikistan. I completed my MA in English in 2010. I am married and I am a mom of three amazing kids. Our family moved to the US in 2007. I stared at Highlands as a student. After 2 months I was hired and since then I’m an ELD Instructional Paraeducator here at Highlands. It’s my pleasure and honor to work here and serve the diverse community. As an ELD Paraeducator, I bridge a language gap between teachers and students. I think we paras are students’ support to their ease language learning process. No matter what languages students speak I meet them with a smile and I create a home atmosphere at school where students feel safe and happy to come. I love to work and help students, and it is a blessing to see their success and achievements. I hope one day to see all of our ELD students graduate and across the stage with their High School Diploma.
