Dana's Profile

I am a fully credentialed social justice teacher with a bachelor's degree in Social Science from California State University  Sacramento, I also graduated with a minor in history. My areas of expertise are History and Economics. I am a former student athlete who knows the value of working in a team and hard work.

I completed my student teaching at Luther Burbank High School, the largest title one School in the greater Sacramento area. I taught Geography and IB world history under the tutelage of Daniel Muth. He was instrumental in guiding me from being very involved early in the process to the classes being almost entirely mine by the end of the school year. My students liked my teaching style of learning social science from a perspective of an African American man. I unveiled the importance of students having a teacher that looks like them teaching them.
