About Me

Hello! I am an English Language Development teacher here at Highlands!  I currently teach at the St. Anne's site during the evening. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a Minor In Chicano/a studies at the University of California Davis. I am originally from Berkeley, CA. I have been teaching at Highlands for three years.

During my time in College I was involved with different outreach programs which helped support underrepresented communities achieve and have access to education. This was important to me since it sparked an interest in teaching and ultimately choosing my career path. As a first generation college student, it was always a goal of mine to give back to my community in anyway possible. Through teaching, I am able to give back to my community in helping students achieve their life and educational goals. My goal is to provide students enough help and support to facilitate their day-to-day interactions in this country.
