About Me

Hello!

 

My name is Maria, and I am a high school teacher here at Highlands Community Charter School.  I have been teaching in Adult Education for about 14 years.  For the majority of those years, I was blessed to serve the formerly incarcerated.  Working with this population helped me see the vital importance of a strong support system.  And now, as a part of Highlands, I am so grateful to be a part of the team because of their commitment to providing quality teaching and support through their numerous resources. Highlands is a place for you.

 

I am so excited to experience an educational journey with you. As a life-long learner, I truly believe that the fullness of life comes through experiential learning. Further, learning is limitless and is a key to unlocking a world of possibilities. It really is up to you to tap into the vast resources offered at Highlands and then to experience the wondrous possibilities that are before you.
