About Me

Hello!

I am an English Language instructor with an M.A. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I’ve taught elementary, high school, and college-level students from all over the world. After teaching in a small village in Malawi, in the Bay Area, in Monterey, and in Portland, OR, I am happy to be back teaching in my hometown of Sacramento.

What I love the most about teaching is getting to know my students and helping them reach their goals. Language and education are empowering, and I feel fortunate to be part of each student’s journey toward that empowerment. I strive to create a class that feels like a safe space to share, support, and learn from one another as we work to figure out the intricacies of language.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors, spending time with my husband and family, and hanging with my dog. I’m aspiring to be a plant lady and working to change my black thumb to green (or at least gray-ish).
