About The Teacher

Matt Levesque was born in Illinois, he moved to Arizona in his sophomore year of high school which caused a bit of culture shock, but also exposed him to other social groups.  He was not a diligent student, but somehow managed to graduate--which helps him understand and appreciate students who struggle with school work.

After high school he joined the Navy and served for 12 years.  After the Navy he continued to do bomb disposal until deciding to become a teacher. Matt earned a B.A. degree in English with a Single Subject English teaching credential as well as an Administrative Services credential from Humboldt State University.  He has taught in both alternative education and traditional education settings as well as being an administrator in both alternative and traditional schools. 

Because his wife moved with him for a job opportunity, he returned the favor—moving to Sacramento for her opportunity to leave the ER and become an advice nurse.  Matt and his wife reside in Fair Oaks with a cat and a bunch of chickens!
