General Nature of Position: In a fast paced busy environment, routes work orders to drivers to meet customer needs while focusing on maintaining safety, productivity and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Schedules a sufficient number of drivers and routes, and dispatches work orders to meet customer needs and maximize production.
  2. Prepare route sheets, work orders and maps as necessary for drivers.
  3. Monitors two-way radio and check drivers in to verify work is complete and accurate.
  4. Reconcile drivers work to ensure it is completed as scheduled and makes necessary changes to system work orders and customer inventory.
  5. Assists with ticket/data entry and recording of statistics and driver performance.
  6. Answer and Process Incoming Customer Calls and Customer Service Overflow.

Summary of Other Job Duties:

  1. Other responsibilities as assigned to support specific department/business needs.
  2. Design and implement filing and reporting systems as related to position.
  3. Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks.
  4. Complete other dispatch work as needed throughout the week and on weekend rotation.

Job Summary
Front Load Drivers safely and efficiently operate heavy-duty trucks with a front end load lift attachment. Drivers are responsible for providing the pick-up service of containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Containers may weigh in excess of 1000 pounds and at times require drivers to physically, by hand, maneuver wheeled containers to the pick up area. Driver transports the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility when trucks reach legal load capacity. Driver navigates high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, lots and may operate in tight overhead environments while on route. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential too successfully perform this job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following tasks. Other minor duties may be assigned. 

  • Operates vehicle in accordance with Atlas Disposal Industries safety rules and operating procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). .
  • Operates computerized mobile tablet to track progress on route, complete stops, enters notes and landfill information.
  • Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service related issues to Supervisor or Dispatch.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required or directed by Supervisor.
  • Works closely with Dispatch and Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
  • Immediately notifies Supervisor or Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage.
  • Notifies Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed customers, streets, alleyways or potential safety hazards.
  • Communicates customer requests to Dispatch or Supervisor.
  • Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement.
  • Ensures the size and number of containers on the route reconciles to the service level listed on service list.
  • Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris. 
  • Positions and returns containers on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, enclosure doors are closed and secured, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
  • Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and check out process.
  • Maintains radio contact with Dispatch and Supervisor to communicate.
  • Performs all duties as scheduled by Supervisor or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

Qualifications
Experience: 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving.

  • Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with an air-brake endorsement.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Acceptable driving record required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check and motor vehicle record review.

 

Work Environment
Below are key points regarding the physical requirements and work environment of the job.

  • Required to use motor coordination with arms, hands, fingers, and legs dexterity.
  • Required to frequently climb in and out of vehicle.
  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 100 pounds frequently.  
  • Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 100 lbs. and frequently pushing or pulling up to 1,000 pounds on wheels throughout the work shift.
  • Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a heavy duty vehicle.
  • Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, trash, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.

Job title:  Stock Room Clerk/ Parts Puller                               

Pay: $16

 Job Description: Parts Puller/Clerical Clerk: Preparing parts for boats (small parts, 5lbs to 10lbs) to be shipped out to clients and companies. This is a clerical/shipping clerk position. Must be able to go into the (light computer skills) computer and document shipment, look up parts and prepare for UPS or Fed Ex.  Attention to detail is a must and work well with 4 to 5 other people in the facility. Multi tasked. This position is in the back room/small stockroom environment.  Retail environment for sail boat parts.  Experience working in a small environment, very laid back, and work with a small group, team oriented staff.

Open Positions w/ Atria

 

Housekeeper:

Schedule would be Sun-Thurs 9am-4:30pm.  Responsible for cleaning common areas, resident apartments as well as washing and folding sheets and towels.

 

Waitstaff:

A few positions are available and most days would be available, but would likely need a commitment of Friday and Saturday as those are our least staffed as of now. 

12-8 or 4p-8p available.    Customer service, taking orders, delivering food, cleaning and sanitizing are a few of the duties. 

 

Dishwasher:

Weekend AM coverage needed- 9am-2pm or PM coverage 5pm-9pm during the week nights.   Industrial dishwasher (must be 18) use, trash removal, mopping/sanitizing.

 

Caregivers:

6a-2p or 2p-10p are the typical shifts.  Hands on care including dressing help, bathing, incontinence care.
