Welcome!

I am an English Language Development teacher at Highlands, where I teach Advanced-level students. I have been teaching at Highlands for 4 years. Before that, I taught for 6 years at CSU, Sacramento. I have also worked in high schools and community colleges in the area, teaching languages, writing, and history.

What I enjoy most about teaching ELD is the incredible knowledge, experience and passion our students bring to Highlands. I have taught students from over 60 countries (so far!), and I always learn so much from my students and colleagues.

In my personal life, I enjoy traveling, taking my kids outdoors on adventures, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
